Kyle, a new resident at Te Pā Tāhuna
Ōtautahi born and bred Kyle started looking for a property in his hometown at a time where housing market was at its peak due to the impacts of Covid-19. He had placed offers to a few houses but found he kept missing out.
Kyle's journey to homeownership took a positive turn when he discovered the KiwiBuild programme had an opportunity in Queenstown. His passion for outdoor activities like skiing, mountain biking and hiking made moving to Tāhuna/Queenstown an obvious choice.
He was fortunate enough to secure the last available apartment in the Takiwai residential development within Te Pā Tāhuna, a premier development in Queenstown developed by Ngāi Tahu Property.
A home and community found
At just 31 years old, Kyle is now the proud owner of a brand-new apartment within Te Pā Tāhuna. This exciting milestone has brought numerous benefits and joys into his life. Above all, having a place to call his own amidst the current accommodation uncertainties has brought a sense of stability and security.
The modern and well-designed apartment requires minimal maintenance, providing Kyle with more time to indulge in his outdoor pursuits, “there are so many things I love about my new home.”
"The apartment itself offers ample storage, and it is warm and dry. The maintenance required is minimal, allowing me to have more time for the things I enjoy like being outdoors." Storage, he says, was not an issue especially with a dedicated locker for outdoor equipment—an invaluable feature in a place like Queenstown.
Ideally located just a few minutes' walk from central Queenstown, Te Pā Tāhuna provides easy access to the CBD through a safe cycleway and the main bus route to Frankton.
